Everything you need, all in one place

  Introduction

In the Health & Social Care sectors, Information Governance (IG) is the term given to the standards relating to the use of information.

The many aspects of IG include policies, processes and controls around information confidentiality, compliance and security.

IG plays a key role in understanding how information can be used and protects against risks such as data protection breaches and the associated potential legal and reputational damages.

Our Service approach allows for support to be provided by our current and growing number of consultants, extending what we are able to provide.

In more recent times our services have been utilised to develop and support new initiatives and services.

Our consultants have developed over time many key skills and understandings which enable us in partnership to provide:

  • Ability to understand the individual service and the environment it is working in:
  • The current challenges for General Practice (both at a local / individual level, but also wider in regards to “neighbourhood / federation” levels, as well as the wider Health and Social Care activities).
  • Specific areas knowledge of the STP plans, including having been involved at STP level
  • Identification and cascade of wider / complex issues into relevant communications and activity that is needed (MUST, SHOULD and COULD) context for the individual client
  • Ability to work at all levels and support leadership (vital part of the SIRO/Caldicott functions) and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit

  About us

With a combined experience in the Health industry of over 85 years (3 contract leads), we have been at the forefront of past and recent changes linked to data protection and Information Governance and the change management requirements that support successful implementation.

This includes the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA18) and the NHS Digital Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT).

A lot of the services that we now provide are Virtual/Remote, and that includes everything that the DSPT does not really deal with – Records Management (including difficult FOI, SAR and EIR information requests) Data Quality and Confidentiality.
